Two Detection Types

Use the Protimeter Moisture Meter’s pin mode to test for moisture in materials like drywall or wood or to determine whether a stain on a ceiling is still retaining moisture or has been repaired. Two sharp pins penetrate surfaces a maximum of 0.4 inches. An electrical current passes between the 2 pins, and the amount of resistance is relayed to you as a moisture reading.

This sensor is also equipped with a search mode for a quick survey of the moisture level in walls and floors or to determine if there are areas that may require further investigation. It's great for areas like wallpaper where inserting pins isn’t practical; it emits electromagnetic signals to measure moisture content up to 0.75 inches below the surface.

Track Changes Over Time

The Protimeter SurveyMaster Moisture Meter has a reference mode in both measurement types. This mode helps determine whether remediation actions have been successful. Original moisture level readings are stored, and subsequent readings are displayed below the original to see whether levels are above or below the original point.
